NeoRagex is a specific emulator but doesn't need particular requirements, the most important are: a Pentium II or AMD k6-2 processor, 32 or better 64 MB of ram.

We need a video card like a normal 2D with 2 MB of ram and Direct-x from 3.0 forth.

The useful files to emulate NeoRagex are NeoRagex file and Neogeo Bios file, that must be unzipped in the folder you have chosen, for example neogeo.

To make these operations easier, we have introduced, inside the zip file of NeoRagex, the program and the bios. You have to unzip only the last one then the icon of NeoRagex will appear. Click on it to display the graphic desktop.

If you don't want to deepen this subject but prefer to emulate quickly we suggest to visit the Step by Step section, where we explain through images the configuration of the emulator you want.

On your left there is the list of games and on your right there are the following options:

CONTROLS: Access to the setting of the control of players. It is possible to use the keyboard or the joystick (you have to set both). 

DIRECTORIES: the emulator takes the imput from here for example the position of roms. If you change the position of roms and put them into another folder, the new directory must be recognized.

VIDEO OPTION: From here you can select video options if you want the interpolation or scanlines like original videogames.

We have not mentioned all the controls but don'y worry you will understand them all.
The other ones are: LAUNCH,IMPORT and EXIT.

IMPORT works when you have taken new roms and the program NeoRagex doesn't find them with Default. In this case you have to use Import to recognize them automatically.

LAUNCH is necessary to start the game once you have selected it in the bar on right. Click twice on Launch and the program will load sounds and the tracert of the game.

EXIT is useful to quit from the emulator.

These are keys to start playing:

>1=start 1 player game
>2=start 2 player game
>3=insert coin
>4=insert coin
>5=down Vulume
>6=up volume
>7=record sound otput
>8=show/hide frames"shows frames a second"
>9=full throttle on/off.
>0= Saves an image of the game that will be displayed in the preview box of the main menu but you have to set the Colour Depth (8 bit) up.

>F1= Sets the game again
>F2= Audio settings
>F3=8/16-bit color depth
>F4=Audio channels (MONO/STEREO)
>F5=8/16 bit color depth
>F6=Scanlines(ON/50%/OFF)
>F7=Interpolation (ON/OFF).
>F8=Edge enhancement (ON/OFF).
>F9= saves a screenshot in the Shots folder
>F11= Menu of saves with the possibility to save when you want 
>F12= Menu of loading
