What does FAQ mean?

The acronym FAQ means "Frequently Asked Questions". This page will be useful for all people who start using Amiga for the first time. If you already use this emulator this section could be necessary to know its features. Amiga Team receives lots of question and you can find here the answers. That's why before asking a question , please, visit this page.

What can I do if I have a new question?

Write to keysupport_for@kemuland.com. Please remember that we don't send ROMS, samples or informations about sites where you can find them. We will ignore this kind of requests.

Which sections can help me?

We have structured the section Key-Emu just to let you access to four under-sections regarding our emulators. Through the drop-down menu you can highlight the pages with all the informations about this emulator and their roms. If you have any problem please look through this page and also Graphic Step by Step, Textual Step by Step and Video Step by Step.

What is kickstart? What is kick rom?

Kickstart of Amiga is, just to understand, like the "bios" for the other roms. It is a rom that makes the boot and without it Amiga and Winuae don't work.

Where can I find kickstart?

We have put the kickstart rom inside the game to make the emulation process easier.

Can you send me the kickstart rom?

Obviously not. You know that we have to observe the copyright that's why the kickstart rom can't be sent. This is the reason why our staff has decided to include the rom inside games.

I have an old computer and WinUAE doesn't work, how come?

This situation doesn't depend on the computer, the emulator works with all computers also with old ones. The only problem can be the emulation process.

How can I change an Amiga disk into adf to use with WinUAE?

There are lots of different way. With the DMS program in Amiga there's .dms of the disk you want to change into adf. You have to put the .dms file in your PC, if the two computers are on line you can transfer the file easier, otherwise you have to copy it on a formatted floppy to load into Windows. From Windows you have to use the program which will change the xdms into .adf. Winuae can make this process by itself.

How can I save a game?

You have the possibility to save a game by pushing F12 and highlighting from the menu on your left the option Misc, than click on Save State and that's all. To start again from the same point of the previous match, access to Misc and push Load State.

How can I set the joystick?

Access to Game & I/O menu and in the section called Amiga Mouse Port 0 highlight PC Joystick 1, now click on OK and the game will be loaded. The presentation will start and generally it can be stopped by pressing any key of your  joystyck. If the presentation still remains, go back to the previous menu with F12 and click on SWAP, commands will go into riverse, push OK again and play.

What can I do when my PC asks me to introduce the disk n° 2?

Press F12, highlight Disk Drives and put in the section DF1 the second disk that we give you.
